The bases of our tanks are thicker to withstand the pressures of ground movement and the weight of water.
The walls, lids and bases are reinforced with F72 and F41 steel mesh.
The walls of our tanks taper inwards from the top to the bottom so that there is more strength in the bottom of the walls where it’s needed.

Taylex Rainwater Tanks are not retaining walls. A flat, level area larger than the tank on all sides will need to be cut before the tank can be installed.
Tanks can be buried underground, with only an inspection hole visible at ground level. Only suitable for Heavy Duty and W80 Tanks.
Taylex concrete rainwater tanks are specifically designed and engineered for below-ground installation. The surrounding backfill and ground support form an integral part of the tank’s structural design and performance.
Under no circumstances should a concrete rainwater tank be installed above ground unless expressly approved in writing by Taylex and designed for that application.
Any concrete rainwater tank installed above ground, either partially or fully, will void all structural warranties provided by Taylex. Taylex accepts no responsibility for structural damage, cracking, failure, deformation, or any consequential loss arising from an above-ground installation.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser, installer and property owner to ensure the tank is installed in accordance with Taylex installation requirements and all applicable engineering and regulatory standards.
